Fourth quarter recap

Fourth quarter recap

Wow, what a finale to one of the most productive years our team has ever had! Our Q1, Q2, and Q3 recap blog posts were already packed with new features and improvements, and this past quarter only saw that pace increase.

Buckle up, because we have a lot we're excited to showcase below, including the release of several large projects we'd been working on for months or, in some cases, years.

🎉 New page management experience

After nearly two years of development, and well over a year of being refined and polished through beta testing, the page management experience located within the Admin Portal has exited beta and is now the new and greatly improved way of managing the content of your website's pages! You can read all about the new experience in this blog article, but in a nutshell, the new experience is built on our next gen technologies and is designed to be more intuitive to navigate, more capable, faster, and easier to use. Plus, it's conveniently located within the Admin Portal alongside all of your other content and settings.

📨 Huge updates to What's Happening emails

Fully modernizing the code that powers What's Happening emails last quarter unlocked our team's ability to make more than a dozen improvements to our widely loved What's Happening emails! These emails are a great way to keep members informed and engaged, and are one of the unique features that sets HOA Express apart, so we were excited to make them even more robust over the past few months. There are too many improvements to describe in detail here, so click on each in the list below to view more details:

🧾 Summary emails for online payments

Stay up-to-date on who's making online payments within your community by using our new summary emails feature! To keep the emails from becoming too numerous, our platform will summarize all new payments on a frequency of your choosing: hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly. You can deliver these summary emails to up to 10 recipients.

➡️ Automatic email migration tool

We've made it easy to migrate emails from an existing email account to an email account on HOA Express's platform with our new automatic email migration tool! This type of tool is useful in a variety of situations, including for copying historical messages into a new email account or for archiving old messages.

🎨 Text editor enhancements

The full text editor, used for editing a page’s leading text, has received a few small enhancements! You can now select the font family, text color, and highlight color for pieces of text. We also made a few improvements to the way tables—especially large ones—are displayed. Plus, we limited the maximum height of the editor to make editing large amounts of text more manageable.

🔄 Document replacement date

Our platform now records when a document is replaced and will display that date in the Admin Portal. Plus, this date is used to announce replaced documents in What's Happening emails (mentioned above).

🇧🇿🇵🇹 Support for Belize & Portugal

We've added support for Belize & Portugal, enabling communities in these two countries to use our platform and allowing members to store addresses located in these countries in their accounts.

đź–‹ Blog posts

Last quarter, our customer success team published a guide for hosting a frightfully fun Halloween party, and although Halloween has passed, it's never too early to begin planning for this year! Plus, we published the aforementioned blog article covering the new page management experience in detail. Both are worth a read!

Wrapping up

That's a wrap on 2024, and what a year it was for our platform and services! But we're certainly not slowing down. Currently, much of our focus is on modernizing the community websites themselves so that they run on our next gen technologies. It's the final remaining piece of our platform to be modernized, and like with What's Happening emails, it'll unlock our team's ability to build many additional new features and improvements. We've made considerable progress on this project already, and expect to have more to share later this year.

Until next time.
