Third quarter recap

Third quarter recap

We're in the home stretch of 2026, having just wrapped up the year's penultimate quarter. If beautiful fall weather hasn't arrived for your community yet, we hope it does soon!

Last quarter was a big one for our product, which saw the completion of a major project (more on that below)! Since much of our focus was on wrapping up that multi-year project, there are fewer other updates to share. But while much of last quarter's work isn't splashy enough to be "recap post worthy," we were busy releasing well over 300 distinct improvements across our product.

Keep reading to learn about what our teams were up to in Q3!

🎉 Modernized community sites

The modernization of the technologies that power our community sites is complete! The rollout completed on schedule in August, concluding an eight-year effort to steadily modernize every piece of our tech stack. Our team celebrated with a "funeral party" for the old technologies!

As mentioned in the last recap post, this was intentionally slow-and-steady so that we could continue actively releasing numerous new features and improvements over that time period. And the modernized community sites aren't intended to be a visual redesign of the websites—aside from some minor polishing touches throughout. Instead, the modernization lays the groundwork for our engineering team to build many of the most popular feature requests, so stay tuned!

✨ Polishing touches

Much of our work this past quarter was the kind that doesn't make headlines: the steady stream of bug fixes, small tweaks, and little refinements that make software feel well-crafted. As we carefully rolled out the modernized community sites and wrapped up the multi-year project to modernize our entire tech stack, our engineering team focused on the small details. For example, the calendar page no longer jumps back to the top while you're browsing events. New members are now signed in automatically right after they register. And we made some text easier to read for visitors with visual impairments.

On their own, none of these changes would warrant being highlighted in our recap blog post. Together, though, they're part of what makes HOA Express so enjoyable to use, so we'll keep making these polishing touches every quarter. If you ever spot something that looks or feels a little off, please let us know!

🇩🇰 Support for Denmark

From time to time, we add support for new countries, giving communities the ability to set their location within these countries, and giving members the ability to store addresses within these countries. Last quarter, Denmark joined our ever-growing list of supported countries!

đź–‹ Blog posts

Some of the best neighborly friendships start with a chance meeting at the clubhouse or a chat at the park. In her latest blog post, Taylor from our customer success team explains how to create third spaces in your community: welcoming shared spots where neighbors can gather, relax, and connect. And for admins who keep everyone in the loop, Nicole and Meredith teamed up on our latest feature spotlight post all about staying connected with the "Calendar" page, with tips for repeating events, RSVPs, and getting events in front of your members.

Wrapping up

Although some finishing touches stemming from the modernized community sites still remain, we're excited to release many new features and improvements over the coming months. Already this quarter, we've introduced calendar event reminders; soon to follow are survey restrictions and classified listing expirations, with more to come after that!
