First quarter recap

Ah, spring—one of the best times of the year! As we enter both a new season and a new calendar quarter, we're reflecting back on all our team was up to over the past three months. From new features, to blog posts, to new initiatives, our team is always busy making HOA Express better and better for our customers.

Like we do at the beginning of each new quarter, we're highlighting our favorite enhancements and showcasing other updates we've been hard at work on over the last quarter. We've got some exciting things to share, so keep reading!

🔎 Beta community websites

Over the past several years, we've made tremendous progress on our ongoing effort to rebuild our front ends using next gen technologies. To date, we've rebuilt every front end with the exception of the community websites themselves. For more than half a year, our engineering team has been working to rebuild this final piece. Today, we're excited to announce that customers can preview our progress and provide feedback on what we've accomplished so far!

We've made a beta version available by adding /beta to your community's domain or website address (e.g., if your community’s domain is examplehoa.com then you can visit examplehoa.com/beta to preview the beta version).

This is an early preview, and therefore, much of the work is still in progress; however, since this is such a large project, we're excited to show off what we've already completed! You can learn more about the beta version in this help article.

✉️ What's Happening email improvements

Even though we just released an almost-uncountable number of improvements to What's Happening emails at the end of last year, we followed those up with several more improvements in Q1 of this year! We improved including/excluding specific pages to show folder name(s) for better context, we updated the email's intro text to be more dynamic, and we added additional linking throughout emails for quicker access to content.

⌨️ Text editor improvements

We didn't make just one, but many improvements to our modernized text editor found in the Admin Portal! In the full editor, you can now underline text and control whether links open in a new tab. In the simplified editor, you can now insert and edit tables. Plus, we released a myriad of small user experience improvements to the editor as well.

🗓️ Extended scheduling for blast emails

A small but helpful improvement for those who like to plan ahead: you can now schedule blast emails for up to 1 year in advance! The previous limit was 30 days, so this gives much greater opportunity to schedule-and-forget, saving time and effort in the process. And if you need to make any changes, you can always edit a scheduled blast email before it's sent.

🧵 Threads account

It's official: HOA Express is now on Threads! We intend to publish the same kind of announcements, tips, and recommendations that we already publish to Facebook and LinkedIn, giving customers one more place to follow updates from our company.

🇧🇲 Support for Bermuda

We’ve added support for Bermuda, enabling communities in this country to use our platform and allowing members to store addresses located in this country in their accounts.

🖋 Blog posts

As you're planting seeds for spring, take some time to read the timely blog post our customer success team published last month about planting the seeds of wellness in your community. It's never too late to establish new and beneficial activities for your community!
